AURORA IS EXPECTING !!!

We are very excited here at Buck Hollow.  An ultrasound on December 17th confirmed that Aurora is carrying a litter.  We're not sure how many, but the vet said "lots".

It has been a whirlwind couple of months for two of the puppies from the ABBA litter (Blackie is now RJ and Smudge is now Abby.)  RJ is officially Buck Hollow's Elegant Trifecta v Stelor and co-owned by Lynn & Sunnie Fair and Terry & Cindy Brumbaugh.  Abby is officially Buck Hollow's Dancing Queen and co-owned by Lynn & Sunnie Fair and Julia Carroll.


Both puppies earned their Junior Hunter titles this fall.

I always have so much trouble signing into this blog so I finally got it right and I'm back to give some news.

NEW MASTER HUNTER - Heidi !!!

Buck Hollow & Lynn Fair are proud to announce their 6th Master Hunter. Today Heidi earned her final leg of Master. Quite an accomplishment as she earned all of her qualifiers since whelping a litter on Feb. 20th.

Disappointing News

We were quite disappointed in the results of Aurora's latest ultrasound as this was a breeding that we planned for two years. She is carrying no puppies.

I am so sorry that we are disappointing you too. If you would like help finding a puppy from a reputable breeder please contact me. At this time I know of 2 solid liver females that are 5 months old in New Jersey and several litters that are "in the works". These litters are due within the next 6-8 weeks.

At this time we have no plans to breed in the immediate future. We are considering a breeding in the fall, but that is still only in the consideration stage. If it comes about we will announce it on our website and blog.

Please, please be wary of some websites. You can't believe everything you find on the internet. There are now several website (very nicely done) that specialize in advertising puppies from the Amish farms in Pennsylvania. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call or email me.

Just received this on Saturday.  Philip showed Devon on April25th to Winners Bitch for 2 points.  I think my little Devonator looks pretty good in this photo.

These 3 are best buds except when one has a toy then it's all out get the toy.  It seems the best toy is the one the other puppy has.

Keeping fingers crossed

One week ago we bred Aurora.  We used Timber's frozen semen and did 3 Transcervical Artifical Inseminations.  Now comes the hard part...waiting and hoping that it took.

I think I am seeing a bit of thickening of Aurora's waist, but maybe that is wishful thinking.  On May 7th we will see the vet for an ultrasound to confirm pregnancy.

Keep your fingers crossed for us.

Puppy Room

The puppy room is clean - - - temporarily.  Just give them a little time after a meal and it is trashed.

Post Jailbreak

Since their room needed a major clean up after the jailbreak I put all the puppies into a smaller jail cell till I was done with the clean up.

 

 

The sun was shining so nicely that Lynn and I cleaned up the outside pen and put in the doggie door.  We then took everyone out of their small jail cell for some outside time.  This is the first they were outside.
Mamma Heidi gave some lessons on using the doggie door.

 

 

The outside puppy pen gets the afternoon sun and was very pleasant at 3:30 so we had our first outdoor picnic.

 

 

A very exciting day for the ABBA gang.  Lots of new experiences. 

Jailbreak

OMG, we had a jail break overnight. I found 5 puppies outside the expen sleeping on mom's bed. One good little criminal stayed inside and when she started playing with the toys and fuzzy blanket the jailbreakers were screaming to get back in.
