1st Puppy Picnic

Although Mama Heidi is doing a great job it was time for some puppies to get a little extra nutrition.  So we had our first puppy picnic.  Mama Heidi came in at the end to help with clean up and to give the kids some milk to wash down their "mush".

 

Lynn's  hand is directing a puppy to the food dish.  That's Smudge (aka Pink) heading back into the box with a full belly.

Two of them are now 3 lbs at 16 days old.

6 Tubbies in a Tub

The absolute best way to keep the whelping box clean. Today I wanted to change the bottom layer in the whelping box. So I put the puppies in that blue tub with a towel. They promptly went to sleep and I didn't have the heart to stir them up by putting them back in the box. So I just put the tub in the box. They slept snuggled together for nearly another hour.

The ABBA litter has arrived.

The ABBA litter has arrived. 3 boys & 3 girls by c-section today. Thank you Roy for giving me 3 girls. Heidi is a bit groggy, but doing fine. All puppies over 1 lb.
